Damien Madden Architectural is a small, specialist practice offering full residential design, alongside select mid-rise, office and commercial work. Our niche is sustainable construction — energy-efficient, healthy buildings designed around the comfort of the people who live and work in them.
We provide a complete service from concept through to structural drawings, shop drawings and fit-out, giving clients a single point of accountability from first sketch to finished building.

We work closely with excellent, bespoke builders across Western Australia who share our customer-focused vision. They're as enthusiastic as we are about thermal comfort for occupants, delivered through thoughtful planning, off-site construction wherever possible, and genuine speed of construction — all while teaching, and being taught, the principles of good building along the way.
While most of our builder relationships are here in WA, our off-site work has also connected us with contacts across the eastern states. We're always happy to make a recommendation, and just as open to building new relationships with builders who share this same approach.

Off-site drawings →Damien has spent 16 years practising in Western Australia, with almost 25 years' experience in total including earlier work in Ireland before relocating. Now based near London, Damien continues to run the practice's Western Australian work remotely, returning each year for an extended working visit.
Damien's background began on the tools — working alongside his father, a carpenter, from a young age — grounding a career that now spans design, energy performance and construction detailing.
